Lab/Field Assistant Position – IISER Kolkata
Applications are invited for the post of Lab/Field Assistant on a contractual basis under a multidisciplinary research project in the Department of Biological Sciences, IISER Kolkata. Interested and eligible candidates may apply before the deadline.

Eligibility Criteria
- B.Sc. in any branch of Sciences from a recognized Board/Institute.
- Basic knowledge in insect sciences and rearing/maintenance of insect cultures in lab, greenhouse, and field settings.
- Basic computer knowledge for record-keeping.
- Communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Prior experience in entomology is highly preferable.
Job Responsibilities
- Daily maintenance and monitoring of insect cultures from egg to adult stages.
- Diet preparation, cleaning, and upkeep of cultures and plants.
- Field visits for collecting and monitoring insect populations.
- Regular record-keeping and project assistance in the lab.
- Ability to troubleshoot insect-related issues.
- Team integration and flexibility in lab and field environments.
