The **Central University of Gujarat PhD Admission 2025-26** notification is hereby released. The Central University of Gujarat invites online applications for admissions to Ph.D. Programmes for the Academic Year 2025-26 from eligible candidates. They can apply for online admission using the URL https://cugadm.samarth.edu.in/ through the SAMARTH eGov Portal. All candidates must register for their online application for admission to the Ph.D. Programme on the specified URL within the stipulated schedule. The Central University of Gujarat will not accept the application for admission through any other mode.

General Eligibility Criteria for Central University of Gujarat PhD Admission 2025-26

Candidates must ensure fulfillment of the eligibility criteria (on the date of application) before filling in the online application form. Candidates who have successfully completed their Master’s Degree Programme in compliance with the stipulated eligibility criteria as per the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedures for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2022 dated 07/11/2022, are eligible for online application for admission to the Ph.D. Programme. Further, those candidates who have qualified for the UGC-NET, CSIR-UGC-NET, and have a NET score can apply for the Ph.D. Programme offered by this University.

Admission Procedure (Points 2-6)

The admission process for the Central University of Gujarat PhD Admission 2025-26 is strictly online:

  1. All candidates are required to register for their online application for admission to Ph.D. Programme on https://cugadm.samarth.edu.in/ within the stipulated schedule.
  2. The Central University of Gujarat will not accept the application for admission to the Ph.D. Programme through any other mode.
  3. Candidates are advised to ensure fulfillment of the eligibility criteria (On the date of application) before filling in the online application form.
  4. Candidates are advised to ensure the availability of vacancy as per the Seat Matrix, as amended from time-to-time.
  5. Candidates are hereby requested to explore the area of specialization as mentioned hereinabove.

Fee Note (Point 7a, 7b): Candidates who wish to apply for the third Ph.D. Programme need to pay the application fee, as applicable, again. The online application fee for admission to the Ph.D. Programme is non-refundable.

Multiple Applications (Point 8): Those candidates who are interested in applying for more than one Ph.D. Programme, separate online applications are required for each Ph.D. Programme. However, any candidate can apply for TWO Programme by payment of the Application fee – as applicable.

  1. Candidates must provide a valid e-mail ID, Mobile number, AADHAR number (optional) and ABC ID with uploading of readable soft copies of the required documents. (All future communication by the University will be addressed on this email ID as provided on SAMARTH).
  2. After successful submission of online application and payment, candidates should take a print-out of the application form generated through SAMARTH eGov. This print-out along with all necessary supporting self-attested copies of the documents (Along with the Original documents) shall be required to be produced at the time of document verification.
  3. Based on information and documents uploaded, their eligibility will be verified. If any document is not found satisfactory during the verification process, the candidature’s application shall stand cancelled.
  4. All candidates must carry their School Leaving Certificate OR Transfer Certificate OR Matriculation Certificate for “Verification of Name”. Candidates are advised to fill in the name as per this certificate for consistency and smooth synchronization with ABC Account.
  5. All candidates are requested to visit the Central University of Gujarat website regularly for updates, as all information will be updated on https://cug.ac.in. No separate communication will be made to individual applicants.
  6. The number of seats for the Ph.D. Programme is subject to change. The University reserves the right to discontinue any Ph.D. Programme at any stage.
  7. The admission to Ph.D. Programme will be governed as per the latest UGC communications and the Ph.D. Degree Regulations, 2022, as amended from time-to time.
  8. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to ensure fulfillment of the minimum eligibility criteria. If the candidate is found not eligible or has produced false documents, the candidature shall be summarily rejected, the paid fees will also be forfeited, and no communication will be entertained.
  9. The University reserves the right to make suitable changes in the schedule without prior intimation. All decisions made by the University regarding the application and admission process shall be final and binding.
  10. The Central University of Gujarat offers the Academic Programmes from the Permanent Campus situated at Kundhela.
