Eligibility Criteria for Central University of Jammu PhD Admission 2025-26
Candidates must meet the following academic and qualification requirements for the Central University of Jammu PhD Admission 2025-26:
1. Academic Requirements (Minimum 60% Marks)
- A 1-year/2-semester Master’s Degree Programme after a 4-year/8-semester Bachelor’s Degree Programme, OR a 2-year/4-semester Master’s Degree Programme after a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree Programme, or an equivalent qualification.
- The candidate must have at least 60% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
- For Engineering departments, first class with 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA is mandatory at both UG and PG levels.
- A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade is allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and other categories as per Commission decision.
2. Mode of Selection (JRF/NET/GATE Only)
Only those candidates who have qualified JRF/NET/GATE examination are eligible to apply for admission to the Ph.D. programme.

- Previous Applicants: Candidates who had already applied earlier through Ph.D. Advertisement No. CUJ/Acad/Ph.D./2025/511 dated 03.08.2025 need not to apply again.
- Fellowship: Fellowship will be provided to eligible candidates as per the Government and University norms.
- Reservation: The University shall follow the reservation policy as mandated by the Government of India, including the Central Educational Institutions Act 2006 and The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
- Admission Finalization: A candidate’s admission is considered complete only after completing all required formalities, including the payment of prescribed fees.
