Eligibility Criteria for University of Calcutta (CU) PhD Environmental Science Admission 2025-26

• Candidates must have an M.Sc. degree in Environmental Science and allied subjects.
• The M.Sc. degree must be from the University of Calcutta or other Universities considered equivalent thereto.

Application Process and Fee

1. Willing candidates should apply in the prescribed proforma.
2. The application must be submitted along with a fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only).
3. Submit attested copies of all mark-sheets/certificates, starting from Madhyamik up to the Master’s Degree.
4. Self-attested photocopies of all relevant testimonials (e.g., Certificate if belonging to SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PC, Final mark-sheet and certificate of M.Sc. Selection Procedure (University of Calcutta (CU) PhD Environmental Science Admission 2025-26 RET 2025)

Candidates will have to appear in a written Examination followed by an interview.

Written Examination (RET-2025) Details:

• A one-hour written examination will be held in the Dept. of Environmental Science.
• The question will be in the form of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
• The questions will be based on the Post Graduate (M.Sc.) syllabus of Environmental Science.

Exemption from Written Examination:

• Candidates who have cleared NET/GATE/SLET/equivalent examinations are exempted from the Written Examination.
• Exempted candidates are entitled directly to appear in the interview.
