Eligibility Criteria for Kolhan University PhD Admission 2025-26

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria to be eligible for the full-time Ph.D. Programme:

  1. Master’s Degree Requirements:
    • A 2-year/4-semester Master’s degree after a 3-year Bachelor’s degree, OR a 1-year/2-semester Master’s degree after a 4-year/8-semester Bachelor’s degree, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
    • A relaxation of 5% marks (minimum of 50%) is allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled, EWS, and other categories as per Commission’s decision.
  2. 4-year/8-semester Bachelor’s Degree:
    • Candidates seeking admission after a 4-year/8-semester Bachelor’s degree program must have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
    • A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade is allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled, EWS, and other categories.
  3. National Level Qualification/Designation:
    • Candidates who have qualified UGC/CSIR JRF, NET, NET(Ph.D.), GATE, JEST, JET, DBT, DST, NBHM, CEED, or any other equivalent national-level examination. **Note:** The qualification must be achieved on or before the date of advertisement (17-11-2025).
