IIM Kozhikode PhD Admission 2026-27 is now officially open for applications. The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) invites prospective scholars to join its three specialized doctoral pathways: the Doctoral Programme in Management (DPM), the Doctoral Programme in Management (Teaching Track), and the Doctoral Programme in Management (Practice Track). Specialization Areas at IIM Kozhikode

Candidates applying for the IIM Kozhikode PhD Admission 2026-27 must select one of the following eight areas of specialization:

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualifications

Educational Background DPM / Teaching Track Practice Track
Post-graduate degree or Professional (CA/CS/CMA) 60% Marks (and 60% in Graduation) 55% Marks (and 50% in Graduation)
4-year/8-semester Bachelor’s degree 75% Aggregate Marks 60% Aggregate Marks
Reserved Categories: A relaxation of 5% in the prescribed minimum eligibility marks is provided for SC/ST/PwD/NC-OBC/EWS category applicants.

Qualifying Test Score Requirements

While the Teaching Track and Practice Track do not require valid test scores, applicants to the regular DPM must have a valid score from any of the following tests (not older than 3 years):

  • CAT, GATE, GMAT, GRE
  • IIMB Test
  • UGC-NET / UGC-JRF (depending on Area of Specialization)

Exemption: Graduates of 2-year full-time MBA/PGDM programmes from IIMs with a minimum CGPA of 2.67/4.33 are exempted from these qualifying tests.
