NIPER Mohali PhD Admission 2026 has been announced by the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali), inviting applications for direct PhD admission for the 2025–2026 academic session (second semester). 

NIPER Mohali is an Institute of National Importance and a leading centre for pharmaceutical sciences research in India. The institute offers PhD programs in diverse pharmaceutical and biomedical disciplines such as Biotechnology, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Management, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmacoinformatics, Natural Products and Medical Devices.

• Master’s degree (M.Sc., M.Tech., M.S. Pharm., or M.Pharm.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry or relevant discipline.
• Minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.75/10 (55% for SC/ST candidates).
• Valid fellowship from CSIR/UGC (JRF), DBT (JRF), ICMR-JRF, DST-INSPIRE or equivalent.
• GPAT/GATE or similar exams are not accepted as fellowship for this admission.

The upper age limit is 28 years with relaxation for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), PwD and women candidates as per government norms.

• Fill the online application form and indicate preferred research area and faculty.
• Upload a scanned copy of the fellowship award letter.
• Applicants must ensure all eligibility conditions are fulfilled before applying.
• Original certificates must be produced at the time of admission.

• Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview (online/offline).
• The final selection list will be published on the institute website.
• Admission is subject to verification of eligibility documents.
