Dr. Manmohan Singh Bengaluru City University (BCU) PhD Admission 2026 notification has been officially released inviting applications for admission to Ph.D. programmes for the academic year 2026–27. The university offers both Full-Time and Part-Time Ph.D. programmes across multiple disciplines.
Eligible candidates must submit the online application and also send the duly filled hard copy along with mandatory documents to the Office of the Registrar (Evaluation), Dr. Manmohan Singh Bengaluru City University, Bengaluru.

Candidates applying under Dr. Manmohan Singh Bengaluru City University (BCU) PhD Admission 2026 must fulfill the following eligibility conditions:
- Master’s Degree from a UGC recognized institution.
- Minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade.
- 5% relaxation for SC/ST/Cat-I/PwD candidates.
- Grade/credit systems will be converted into percentage for eligibility assessment.

The syllabus includes Research Methodology and core PG subject knowledge as prescribed by the university.
Candidates qualified in the following examinations are exempted from the entrance test:
- UGC-NET
- CSIR-JRF
- K-SLET
- GATE
- DST/UGC/CSIR funded research fellowships
- INSPIRE / National Funding Agencies
Such candidates will be considered under Non-Entrance category based on postgraduate performance.
Vacancies are available across all notified subjects based on availability of recognized research guides. Total vacancies vary department-wise and will be finalized during counselling.

After provisional registration, candidates must complete course work at the respective research centres.
- Full-time candidates complete coursework in one semester.
- Part-time candidates may complete coursework in two semesters.
- Research proposal preparation under supervisor guidance is mandatory.
