Biological Sciences

• Master’s degree or BTech or BE or MBBS or MTech or ME or MPharm.
• Minimum 55 percent marks.
• Must qualify GATE or CSIR UGC JRF or LS or ICMR JRF or ICAR NET or DBT JRF Category 1 or 2 or DST INSPIRE.

Chemical Sciences

• Master’s degree or BTech or MBBS or MTech or MPharm in Chemical Sciences or related subjects.
• Minimum 55 percent marks for General category and 50 percent for reserved categories.
• National level qualification such as CSIR UGC JRF or LS, GATE, ICMR JRF, DBT JRF, DBT BINC or DST INSPIRE.

Physical Sciences

• Master’s degree MSc or MS or BTech or BE or MTech or ME.
• Minimum 55 percent marks for General category.
• Minimum 50 percent for SC, ST, PwD and Third Gender category.
• National level qualification such as CSIR UGC, GATE, JEST or DST INSPIRE.

Mathematical Sciences

• Master’s degree or BTech with good academic record.
• Candidates must appear in NBHM Doctoral Scholarship Test.
• Applicants must mention NBHM roll number and test centre during application.

Earth and Environmental Sciences

• MSc or MTech or BE or BTech with minimum 55 percent marks for General category.
• Minimum 50 percent marks for SC or ST or PwD candidates.
• Qualification in GATE or CSIR UGC JRF or LS or DST INSPIRE or DBT JRF.

Humanities and Social Sciences

• MA or MSc or BSc MSc or MPhil degree.
