University of Kalyani (KU) PhD Admission 2026 eligibility is governed by UGC Regulations 2025. Applicants must meet the following:
- Master’s degree in relevant discipline with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade). Relaxation of 5% for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/EWS/PwD as per UGC norms.
- Candidates who have qualified JRF (direct fellowship) through UGC-NET / UGC-CSIR-NET / SLET / SET / GATE / ICMR-BRET / ICAR / CEED / DBT-BET / ASRB-NET / NBHM or equivalent national tests are eligible.
- Applicants who have qualified the above national tests without JRF (only percentage score) are also eligible to apply for admission.
