About WBCHSE & Semester System

The WBCHSE has introduced a semester-based system from 2025–26. The Higher Secondary course is divided into four semesters:

  • Semester 1 & 2: Class 11 (School-level evaluation)
  • Semester 3 & 4: Class 12 (Board exams)

Final HS results are calculated based on combined performance in Semester 3 and Semester 4.
