Important Eligibility Notes
- Candidates who graduated before 2024 are not eligible for regular PG programmes.
- For LL.M., candidates who completed LL.B. before 2006 are not eligible.
- For Self Financing programmes, graduates before 2014 (or before 2024 under NEP 2020) are not eligible.
- Minimum qualifying marks are 45% for General candidates and 40% for SC/ST/PH candidates unless otherwise specified.

The Bankura University (BKU) PG Admission 2026-28 process will be conducted completely through the online admission portal. Candidates must complete online registration, submit the application form, upload the required documents and participate in the merit-based admission process according to the published schedule.

Bankura University (BKU) PG Admission 2026-28 Merit List
The University will prepare the merit list based on the marks obtained at the Graduation level in the respective subject. Separate merit lists will be published subject-wise and category-wise.
- There will be no admission test.
- Admission will be based entirely on Graduation marks.
- Separate merit lists will be prepared for Group A and Group B candidates.
- If two candidates secure equal Graduation marks, Higher Secondary marks will be considered.
- If Higher Secondary marks are also equal, Date of Birth will be used for determining merit.
- Only registered candidates will be included in the merit list.
- Candidates can report discrepancies within the notified period through the Help Desk.
Admission Groups

Admission List & Upgradation
- Admission lists will be prepared on the basis of merit and institute preferences selected by candidates.
- Merit will always receive priority during seat allocation.
- Candidates must select institute preferences while filling the application form.
- If seats remain vacant, subsequent admission lists may be published.
- Vacant seats may later be filled from either group depending on availability.
- Only admitted candidates can participate in the upgradation process.
- Admission fees paid earlier will be adjusted during upgradation.
- If a candidate receives an upgraded seat, fresh admission must be completed within the prescribed period.
- Failure to complete admission after upgradation will lead to cancellation of candidature.
