Eligibility Criteria for BCKV PhD Admission 2025-26
A candidate must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the Doctoral Degree Programme. Meeting the eligibility for **BCKV PhD Admission 2025-26** is mandatory:
- **Academic Qualification:** Must possess a 4-year Bachelor Degree followed by a 2-year/4-Semester Master’s Degree in the relevant field (Agriculture / Horticulture / Agricultural Engineering) from a recognized University.
- **Discipline Choice:** A student can apply for admission in **only one discipline** in which the M.Sc./M.Tech. Degree was obtained.
- **OGPA Requirement (10.00 scale):**
- General, OBC, and EWS: minimum OGPA of **6.50** in both Bachelor and Master Degree exams.
- SC/ST/PwD: minimum OGPA of **5.50** in both Bachelor and Master Degree exams.
- **Marks Requirement (Traditional System):** General and OBC: at least **60%** marks; SC/ST/PwD: at least **50%** marks.
- **Entrance Test Qualifying Marks (Out of 60):**
- General, OBC, EWS, and PwD: **18 marks** (30%).
- SC and ST: **15 marks** (25%).
- **Special Case:** Candidates with a 2-year Masters in allied Science/Technology branches may be considered for admission (except Agronomy, Horticulture, and Agril. Engg.) only if vacancies remain after the normal admission process.

Online Application Process
- Apply online only through the designated BCKV admission portal (www.bckvadmission.in).
- **AAPAR ID** (Academic Bank of Credits) is a **mandatory** field for the online application.
- Fill the form with accurate details and upload scanned copies of documents (photo, signature, certificates) in the specified formats.
- **Mandatory Document Submission for In-Service Candidates:** In-Service candidates must send a printed copy of the online form, duly forwarded by their employer, to the Registrar, BCKV, before counselling/admission.
- Candidates will download their admit card using their login credentials starting October 14, 2025.
Important Notes on Admission
- **Reservation:** Reservation benefits (SC/ST/OBC/PwD/EWS) are extended only to candidates who are **domicile of West Bengal**.
- **In-Service Exemption:** In-service candidates are **exempted from the entrance test** but must appear for an on-line/off-line interview.
- **In-Service Leave:** An approval letter of leave for 3 years from the employer and a “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” are mandatory for in-service candidates. Failure to submit the leave approval within two months of admission will lead to cancellation.
- **Verification:** Originals of all documents must be produced at the time of Reporting/Admission for verification.
