Candidates must meet the following essential requirements for the Centre for Nano and Soft Matter Sciences (CeNS) PhD Admission 2026:
- Educational Qualification: M.Sc./M.Tech. in Physics/Chemistry/Materials Science/Nano Science or allied subjects with at least 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ST). Specialization in Condensed Matter Physics, Electronics, Materials Science, or Organic/Inorganic/Physical Chemistry is desired.
- National Level Test: Must have qualified in CSIR-UGC NET (JRF only) / GATE / JEST, or be an INSPIRE fellow.
- For R&D Assistants: Centre’s R&D Assistants can apply if they meet the qualification above, have completed one year of service, and have at least one publication in a SCI journal.

Selection Procedure
