A 5% reservation shall be provided to candidates under the PwD category as per Government of India rules. The University shall create the required number of supernumerary seats for this purpose.
Candidates must have a Master's degree programme or a qualification declared equivalent to the Master's degree in relevant subjects, as specified in the programme-specific eligibility criteria.
Candidates must have at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever a grading system is followed.
Equivalent qualifications from a foreign educational institution may also be considered where the institution is accredited by an assessment and accreditation agency approved, recognized or authorized by the appropriate authority in its home country.
A relaxation of 5% marks or equivalent grade will be allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer), Differently abled and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories.
The relaxation in marks is subject to decisions by the University Grants Commission (UGC), India, from time to time.

Candidates who have qualified for fellowship/scholarship in UGC NET, UGC-CSIR NET, GATE, CEED and similar National Level Tests have to apply through the CUAP PhD Samarth admission portal and appear directly for the interview.

Apply Online- Admission granted will be cancelled at any time if the information furnished by the candidate is found to be false or incorrect.
- Admission will also be cancelled if, at a later stage, it is found that the candidate does not fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed for the programme.
- The list of selected and waitlisted candidates will be hosted on the University website along with the admission schedule and instructions.
- No individual admission intimation will be sent to selected or waitlisted candidates.

- The University reserves the right to increase or decrease the intake of any programme.
- The University also reserves the right not to offer any of its programmes, if necessary.
