Central University of Rajasthan CURAJ PhD Admission 2026-27 (Second Phase) applications are invited from interested candidates for admission to Ph.D. programmes in various departments for the academic session 2026-27. The admission is based on the examination conducted by NTA 2025 as per the UGC public notice dated March 27, 2024.
Candidates belonging to the specified admission categories, along with candidates who have qualified GATE/JEST/GPAT, can be considered according to the admission policy. Eligible candidates will be invited for an offline interview/viva-voce at the respective departments.

The Central University of Rajasthan CURAJ PhD Admission 2026-27 (Second Phase) policy specifies the following categories:

Category-1 to Category-3 eligible candidates would be given preference. Candidates under categories 2 and 3 must have the National Level Qualified Examination Certificate issued on or after September 01, 2025.

- Admission will follow the provisions of the UGC Regulation 2022, UGC public notice No. F.4-1 (UGC-NET Review Committee)/2024(NET)/140648, dated March 27, 2024, and CURAJ rules and regulations.
- Candidates qualified under Category-1, Category-2 and Category-3 are eligible according to the specified provisions.
- Candidates who have qualified GATE/JEST/GPAT for all disciplines are also eligible.
- Category-1 to Category-3 eligible candidates will be given preference.
Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee per department to complete the online registration.

Transaction charges and taxes, as applicable, are additional. If a candidate wishes to apply for more than one department, the registration fee has to be submitted for each programme and the candidate is also required to apply separately.

- No request for an online interview will be entertained.
- Interview schedules and interview guidelines for different departments will be notified on the university website.
- Candidature for Ph.D. admission will not be considered if the candidate fails to appear in the interview/viva-voce.
- The merit list will be prepared as per the reservation policy of the Government of India.
- The merit list for admission shall be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates.
- Preference will first be given to eligible candidates from Category-1 to Category-3, followed by candidates who have qualified GATE/JEST/GPAT or any other national-level examination.

- All foreign applicants are required to apply through the “Study in India (SII)” portal only.
- Eligibility for foreign Ph.D. applicants will be the same as for national applicants; however, they are exempted from having qualified in any national level examination.
- If required, any department may apply specific eligibility needed for the subject/specialization.
- The application will be shared with the concerned department to evaluate eligibility.
- The department may interact with the candidate for research interests and to figure out availability of the same in the department.
- The same should be communicated to the office of International Cell and admission committee.
- The Office of International Students will communicate eligibility information to applicants and provide the offer letter with fee information.
- Candidates need to pay the requisite fee and send details to the Office of International Cell.
- After confirming the fee received in accounts, the International Cell will send the official acceptance letter to applicants for visa processing.
- After joining, a candidate who is not under any scholarship programme may apply for University Ph.D. fellowship.
- All guidelines mentioned in Ordinance 9 are also applicable to international students, as to other Ph.D. Scholars.
- No off-line form will be accepted.
- Candidates should apply well in advance of the last date.
- The University shall not be responsible for technical glitch or delay, if any, in submission of form or payment of application fee.
- Candidates must provide a valid e-mail ID, mobile number, Aadhaar number and readable soft copies of required documents.
- Candidates should ensure their eligibility as per the chosen programme before applying.
- Candidates must appear for the interview/viva-voce in offline mode.
- No request for an online interview will be entertained.
- Failure to appear in the interview/viva-voce will result in the candidature not being considered for Ph.D. admission.
- Selected candidates must deposit the prescribed academic fee as per the given schedule and within the stipulated time.
- If the academic fee is not deposited within the stipulated time, admission shall stand cancelled and the name will be struck off from the merit list.
- The wait-listed candidate in order of merit will then be offered provisional admission.
- Vacancies resulting from non-deposit of fee, cancellation or withdrawal will be filled in order of merit.
- The University reserves the right to make changes in the schedule and process without prior intimation.
- The University's decision on matters related to the admission process shall be final and binding to all.
