Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) PhD Admission 2025-26 notification for the Ph. D. Entrance Test (DAVV DET- DEC 2025) has been released. Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore invites online applications from prospective applicants for DAVV DET-DEC 2025. Eligibility Criteria for DAVV PhD Admission
Candidates must fulfill one of the following eligibility requirements to seek admission in the Ph.D. programme:

A 1-year/2-semester master’s degree after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree OR a 2-year/4-semester master’s degree after a 3-year bachelor’s degree, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
- Candidates seeking admission after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree must have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
- M.Phil. Programme with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade is allowed for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per UGC decision.

Subjects for Admission through Valid NET/JRF Score
Admission is also offered to candidates having a valid score in Category-2/ Category-3 in UGC-NET (Dec 2024/June 2025)/ CSIR UGC NET (Dec 2024/ June 2025)/ Valid JRF Score Card. These candidates are exempted from the DET but must register and appear for the interview. The subjects are:

Application Process and Fee
All interested candidates, including those exempted from the Doctoral Entrance Examination, must fill the online application form by the due date.
- Applicants must apply through the MP-online portal: https://davv.mponline.gov.in.
- The application fee (Non-refundable) for candidates applying for Non-NET subjects is Rs. 1,500.
- The application fee (Non-refundable) for candidates applying for subjects included in UGC-NET/CSIR UGC NET is Rs. 1,000.
- Online service charges of Rs. 50/- will be charged in addition to the application fee.
- Applicants must upload their recent coloured photograph; no other documents are to be uploaded at the time of online application.
DAVV DET-DEC 2025 Examination Details
The Doctoral Entrance Test (DET) will be conducted on 21 December 2025, Sunday. The test will be conducted in ONLINE mode. The examination centers will be in Indore city only.

The total duration of the Doctoral Entrance Test will be two hours. There will be no negative marking. Candidates must score a minimum of 50% marks to qualify for the interview. A 5% relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks is allowed for SC/ST/OBC/differently-abled/EWS, and other categories.
Interview and Final Merit List
All applicants who qualify the entrance examination (including those exempted) must appear in the interview, which will be conducted by the Research Advisory Committee (RAC) of the concerned subject. The date of the interview will be notified on the University website.
The interview/viva-voce is based on a presentation where candidates discuss their research interest/area. The evaluation is based on 100 marks, allocated across four criteria (25 marks each):
- Research plan
- Research potential/ aptitude
- Communication skills
- Subject knowledge in the respective area of research
The final merit list for Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) PhD Admission 2025-26 will be prepared by giving 70% weightage to the marks obtained in the entrance examination and 30% weightage to the interview marks.
Visvesvaraya Ph.D. Fellowship Scheme
The Visvesvaraya Ph.D. Fellowship Scheme – Phase II is available at DAVV Indore for Full-Time Ph.D. with Fellowship, specifically in the subjects of Electronics & IT. Admission will be made through DET-DEC 2025.
Essential requirement: Candidate must get admitted through DET- DEC 2025 in a related subject (E&TC/ E&C/E&I/IT/CS/ Electronics Science).
Financial Support for Full-Time Ph.D. candidates includes:
- Fellowship: Rs 38,750/- per month (I & II year); Rs 43,750/- per month (III to V year) plus RoR @ 16%.
- Research Contingency Grant Support: Rs. 1,20,000/Year/Full-time Ph.D. candidate.
- Support for attending International Conference: Up to Rs.1.5 Lakhs.
Important Note: It is mandatory for all interested candidates, including those who are exempted (like foreign students or those with valid NET/JRF scores) to fill the online application form by the due date. Non-appearance for the written entrance test or interview, for any reason, will automatically disqualify the candidature.
