- Admission in Summer Term will be offered primarily to candidates qualified in UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET categories, DBT-JRF, ICMR-JRF and similar national-level fellowship examinations.
- Candidates must appear before the Interview Committee with a 500-word research concept note.
- Minimum 50% marks in Interview are required to qualify.
- Merit will be prepared according to the Ph.D. Ordinance and preference categories prescribed by the university.
- Engineering, Technology, Physiotherapy, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Data Science & Artificial Intelligence programmes are not offered through entrance-test mode in Summer Term.

University Research Fellowship (URF)
- One fellowship each in Summer and Winter Term for eligible departments.
- Fellowship amount: ₹15,000 per month.
- Tenure: Two years (extendable to third year as per rules).
- Contingency Grant: ₹10,000 per annum.
HSCST Fellowship Programme
- Available for eligible Ph.D. scholars in Science subjects.
- ₹18,000 per month for first two years.
- ₹21,000 per month from third year onwards.
- Annual contingency grant of ₹20,000.
