Introduction to Gurugram University PhD Admission 2025-26
The Gurugram University PhD Admission 2025-26 process has officially started with the release of the revised Admission Guidelines. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates holding a valid National Level Test Score (like NET, GATE, GPAT, CSIR, DST, ICMR, ICSSR, ICAR) to apply for the prestigious Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programme. The admissions will be made in order of merit based on the prescribed weightage for UG/PG examination, National Level Test Score, and an Interview. Application Notes
- The application fees of Rs. 1000/- for General Category and Rs. 250/- for Reserved Categories (SC, BC, Differently Abled, EWS of Haryana) shall be paid online.
- Each candidate has to apply separately for each program in online mode.

Academic Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum Qualification: Master’s Degree (2 year/4 semester) after a 3 year/6 semesters bachelor’s degree, OR Master’s Degree (1 year/2 semester) after a 4 year/8 semesters bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum Marks: 55% marks (or equivalent grade ‘B’ in UGC 7-point scale) in the main or allied subject.
- Relaxation: A 5% relaxation (to 50% marks) is allowed for SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled/EWS of Haryana candidates.
- Mandatory Score: Admission is based on NET Score (Category 1, 2 and 3)/ GATE Score/ GPAT Score/CSIR/DST/ICMR/ICSSR/ICAR or any other equivalent National Level Test Score (with validity period).
Procedure for Gurugram University PhD Admission & Selection Criteria
The admission will be made in order of merit based on the following criteria:

CHAPTER-III: Online Application Process for Gurugram University PhD Admission
The application for Gurugram University PhD Admission 2025-26 is strictly online. User has to register on the official admission portal: https://gurugramuniversityadm.samarth.edu.in
Pre-requisites for Applying Online
- Aadhar Card Number, E-mail id, and Mobile Number.
- Scanned copy of Photograph and Signature (in .jpeg or .jpg format, 10 kb to 500.00 kb limit).
- Scanned Copies of Educational Qualifications related documents (Matriculation, Senior Secondary, Qualifying Examination, etc., in .jpeg or .jpg format, 10kb to 500.00 kb limit).
Crucial Application Step
Once the payment for a programme is confirmed, no change in Programme, Category, Name, Date of Birth, Mobile number, e-mail id, Photo, and Signature will be allowed. Check all details carefully before payment.
CHAPTER-IV: Documents Required and Reservation of Seats
Documents Required at the Time of Admission
Candidates must bring Original documents for verification/submission along with one set of self-attested copies:
- Computer generated application form.
- 10th, 12th, Graduation, and Qualifying Exam (Master’s) Marksheets/Certificates.
- Valid NET/GATE/GPAT/CSIR/DST/ICMR/ICSSR/ICAR Score Card.
- Latest Character Certificate.
- Reserved Category Certificate, Income Certificate, Haryana Residence Certificate, and Parivar Pehchan Patra (if applicable).
- Migration Certificate (within 30 days of admission).

Reservation is as per the Haryana Govt. Policy:

Reservation Guideline
Benefit of reservation will be given up to the 3rd merit list. After the third merit list, the vacant seats will be converted into general category seats and filled accordingly in the Physical counseling.
CHAPTER-V: Fee Structure for Ph.D. Programme
The fees are subject to changes as decided by the University from time to time.
