- Applicants must have a 2-year Master's Degree after a 4-year Bachelor's degree with at least 55% marks.
- Candidates with 1-year Master's Degree after a 4-year Bachelor's degree are also eligible.
- Candidates applying after a 4-year Bachelor's degree must have 75% marks.
- A 5% relaxation in marks is allowed for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS and Differently Abled candidates.
- Candidates completing a 3-year Bachelor's degree with a 2-year Master's programme are also eligible.

- Admission will follow UGC Regulations 2022.
- Candidates with NET-JRF / NET / SET / SLET / GATE / M.Phil / Teachers Fellowship will appear directly for interview.
- Other candidates must appear for a written test.
- The written test will carry 100 marks and will be conducted in MCQ format.
- The duration of the written test will be 2 hours.
- Candidates securing minimum 50% marks in the written test will be called for the interview.
- The final merit list will be published department-wise.
- No postal correspondence will be entertained.
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Only online applications will be accepted.
- Applications submitted after the last date will not be accepted.
- Government or PSU employees must apply through proper channel with a No Objection Certificate.
- Application fee once paid will not be refunded.
- Suppression of any information may lead to rejection of candidature.
