- Master’s degree (passed on or before 2025) with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD) or equivalent grade from UGC recognised university.
- Additional 5% relaxation (55%→50% for general; 50%→45% for reserved) for those who obtained Master’s prior to 19th September 1991.
- Must have qualified UGC‑NET / UGC‑CSIR/NET/GATE/CEED or similar national level test.
- Candidates already in employment must apply through proper channel & produce NoC.
Selection will be based on DRC interview/viva-voce. Qualifying marks in interview: 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD). Merit list = 100% interview marks (no written test).
Reservation: As per West Bengal Higher Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Rules, 2013 and EWS notice dated 26/05/2023.
