• M.Sc. degree (2023 or later) in Physics.
• Minimum 60% aggregate marks.
• Minimum 55% marks for reserved category and women candidates.
• Applicants must possess any one of the following:
• Valid CSIR-UGC NET (Category 1, 2 or 3)
• JEST 2026 with rank within top 300
• DST-Inspire Fellowship (Ph.D.)
• GATE (Physics)

For Kalpakkam Centre

• M.Sc. degree (2023 or later) in Physics.
• Minimum 60% aggregate marks.
• Minimum 55% marks for reserved category and women candidates.
• Applicants must possess any one of the following:
• Valid CSIR-UGC NET (Category 1, 2 or 3)
• JEST 2026 with rank within top 300
• DST-Inspire Fellowship (Ph.D.)

Note: Final JRF offer for DST-Inspire Fellowship candidates will be subject to successful completion of Level-II evaluation.

The selection process for UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research PhD Admission 2026-27 consists of the following stages:

1. Screening of submitted applications.
2. Online interview of shortlisted candidates by the Selection Committee.

• Centre allocation will be based on candidate preference and available positions.
