University of Jammu PhD Admission 2026 (August) notification has been released by the Office of Dean Research Studies. The university invites online applications from eligible candidates for admission to the PhD programme through an Entrance Test for leftover seats. This is a great opportunity for research aspirants to pursue doctoral studies at a NAAC Accredited 'A++' Grade University.
The application process starts on 21 July 2026 and the last date to fill the online form is 3 August 2026. The Entrance Test is scheduled for 8 August 2026 (Saturday). Candidates must check the department-wise vacancies and specialisations before applying. The application fee is ₹300 (non-refundable) and must be paid online through the university website.
Important: The university will not be responsible for any mistake/lapse by the candidate while filling the form. Ensure all documents (photograph, signature, certificates, NOC for part-time) are ready before starting the application.

- A 1-year/2-semester master's degree after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor's degree, OR
- A 2-year/4-semester master's degree after a 3-year bachelor's degree, OR
- Qualification declared equivalent to master's degree by the statutory/regulatory body.
Minimum marks: 55% in aggregate or equivalent grade (5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled/EWS as per UGC and UT of J&K norms).
For 4-year bachelor's degree holders: Minimum 75% marks (5% relaxation for reserved categories as above). The university will follow NEP 2020/UGC guidelines.
Part-time aspirants must submit NOC from the competent authority.
