Eligibility for admission follows the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedures for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2022.
- Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
- Master’s after 4-year Bachelor’s OR 2-year Master’s after 3-year Bachelor’s degree.
- 4-year Bachelor’s degree holders must have minimum 75% marks.
- M.Phil. degree holders with minimum 55% marks are eligible.
- 5% relaxation allowed for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD/EWS categories as per UGC rules.
Candidates possessing equivalent qualifications from accredited foreign institutions are also eligible as specified in the official notification.
