Introduction

A position for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) is available in the research group of Prof. Swadhin K. Mandal, Professor, Dept. of Chemical Sciences, IISER Kolkata. The research work involves synthesis of reactive main-group compounds and their catalytic application towards activation and functionalization of sulfur dioxide and nitrous oxide.

Eligibility Criteria

  • M.Sc. in Chemistry with minimum 75% marks or CGPA above 7.5
  • Interest in Organic/Inorganic/General Chemistry
  • NET/GATE/DST-INSPIRE qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge in main-group chemistry and catalysis
  • Experience in Schlenk line techniques and air-sensitive manipulations is preferred
  • Relaxation in age/qualification for SC/ST/OBC as per Govt. of India norms
