Eligibility Criteria
- Medical: MBBS / BDS / MD / MS / MDS / DNB / DM / M.Ch. as specified in notification.
- Nursing: M.Sc. Nursing with minimum 55% marks.
- Non-Medical: M.Sc. / M.Tech. / M.Pharm. / equivalent with minimum 60% marks (as per department).
- Own Fellowship (OF) seats require valid fellowship awards (e.g. CSIR, UGC, ICMR, DBT etc.).
Application Process
- Visit AIIMS exam portal and register.
- Fill form and upload required documents.
- Pay application fee online.
- Check application status regularly on MyPage.
- Download admit card before exam.
Summary of Examination Pattern
- Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Stage I (Aptitude): 30 MCQs, 40 minutes, subjects include General Science, English, Biostatistics & Research Methodology
- Stage II (Subject Specific): 40 MCQs, 50 minutes, questions from relevant specialty
- Total Marks: 70 (Stage I + II)
- Marking Scheme: +1 for correct answer, –⅓ for wrong answer
Method of Selection
- Only candidates securing at least 35 marks out of 70 in Stage I + II will be eligible for Stage III (Departmental Assessment).
- Stage III: Departmental Assessment carries 20 marks (interview / practical / project discussion).
- Final Merit: 70 marks (Stage I + II) + 20 marks (Stage III) = 90 marks total.
- Candidates with approved national fellowships (e.g., CSIR, DBT, UGC, ICMR) may be given special weightage.
