Introduction
The Central University of Andhra Pradesh is inviting applications for admission to Ph.D. Programmes in various Departments for the Academic year 2025-26. The admission process is based on specific criteria, and candidates who have qualified for fellowships or scholarships in national-level tests such as UGC NET, UGC-CSIR NET, GATE, or CEED must apply through the university’s Ph.D. admission portal and will be directly called for an interview.

Reservations for Ph.D. admission are as per the Government of India and UGC guidelines.
- Unreserved (UR): 11
- Other Backward Classes – Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL): 7
- Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 3
- Scheduled Castes (SC): 3
- Scheduled Tribes (ST): 2
- A 5% reservation will be provided for candidates in the PwD category, for which the university will create the required number of supernumerary seats.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have a Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification in a relevant subject with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
- A relaxation of 5% marks is permitted for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), Differently abled, and EWS categories.

- No individual admission intimation will be sent to selected/waitlisted candidates. Applicants are advised to check the university website regularly for updates.
- The University reserves the right to increase or decrease the intake of any program and also reserves the right not to offer any of its programs.
