Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s degree in Botany/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Chemistry and a valid national level fellowship (e.g., JRF of CSIR/UGC/DBT) or equivalent (e.g., KSCSTE) for pursuing Ph.D.
- All candidates must have a valid UGC-NET score as per UGC notification No. F.4-1(UGC-NET Review Committee)/2024(NET)/140648 dated 27/03/2024.
- Upper age limit: 35 years (male) and 40 years (female) as on 30-08-2025. Age relaxation as per Govt. of India rules for SC/ST/OBC/Women/Persons with Disabilities.

Application Process

Selection Method
- Eligible candidates will be called for an interview before the Selection Committee after the application deadline.
- Selection is based on performance in the interview, subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria.
Important Notes
- Travel, stay, and related expenses for attending the interview must be borne by candidates. No TA will be paid by ICAR-IISR.
- Mere fulfillment of minimum requirements does not guarantee selection. The decision of the Director, ICAR-IISR, is final.
- Canvassing in any form or bringing influence (political or otherwise) will lead to disqualification.
