Introduction
Applications are invited from highly motivated and research-oriented applicants for admission to the Ph.D. Program in the following specializations of different Departments as per the below mentioned categories of admission and time schedule. Applicants are advised to visit the profiles of the faculty members at the respective Department web page, and the advertisement uploaded by each Department, before applying for the PhD Program. Applicants are selected for admission to PhD programs through a rigorous evaluation process which includes an interview by a selection committee and mere application does not imply admission into the PhD programs. Before making arrangements for paying non-refundable application fee, please verify your eligibility by checking the MCQ and QC requirements of the Department to which you intend to apply.

| FA (Fellowship Awardee): Fellowship Awardees from agencies such as CSIR, UGC, DST, etc. |
| FAP (Fellowship Awardee, funded from Research Project): JRF/SRF project staff working in a sponsored research project. |
| FAR (Fellowship Awardee, funded from Research Development fund). |
| TA (Teaching Assistantship): Institute Teaching Assistantship with scholarship as per MHRD guidelines. |
| SW (Sponsored WITHOUT Institute scholarship): Sponsored from reputed R&D organization or industry. |
| IS (Institute Staff): Only for regular IIT Indore staff (Part-Time). |
| DF (Defense Forces): Serving personnel without institute scholarship. |
| CT (College Teacher): Permanent employee of sponsoring institution without institute scholarship. |

Marks/CGPA/CPI Percentage Requirements
- UR/EWS/OBC-NCL: Minimum 60% marks OR First class OR CGPA/CPI of 6.0/10.
- SC/ST/PwD: Minimum 55% marks OR First class OR CGPA/CPI of 5.5/10.
Application Fee
₹100 (non-refundable) to be paid online.
Application Procedure
- Apply ONLINE via academic.iiti.ac.in. A unique application number will be assigned.
- After submission, bring signed hard-copy with fee receipt, photo, certificates, and other documents at the time of test/interview.
- For multiple departments, submit separate applications.

Applicants under IS, DF, SW, and CT categories must send original documents with a copy of the application form to the Office of Dean Academic Affairs. Copies must also be produced as required by the respective Department.
