Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the Ph.D. programme through the Research Entrance Test (RET) / RET Exempted in various subjects running in the University Campus and its Affiliated Colleges from 08/08/2025. 🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- Postgraduate degree in the concerned subject with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade.
- 5% relaxation for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS, and differently-abled candidates.
- Final year PG students may apply but must meet eligibility at the time of admission.
💰 Application Fee
- General, EWS, OBC: ₹1500
- SC, ST, PWD: ₹1000
- Additional registration fee: ₹100 (for all candidates)
📝 Entrance Test Structure
- Two steps: Written Test (140 marks) + Interview (60 marks).
- Written test has two papers of 70 marks each, 2 hours duration.
- Paper 1: Research aptitude, ethics, general academic aptitude (MCQs).
- Paper 2: Subject-specific knowledge (MCQs).
- No negative marking.
- 50% minimum required in written test (5% relaxation for reserved categories).
✅ RET Exemption
The following are exempt from written test and will appear directly for interview:
- Regular teachers of the University and its affiliated govt/aided colleges
- Foreign students including NRIs (as per GoI rules)
- NET/JRF/NET-PhD only/GATE/CEED qualified candidates
Note: Even exempted candidates must apply online with fee. Non-applicants will not be considered.
