Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s degree with 55% marks (5% relaxation for reserved categories).
- 75% required for candidates with 4-year Bachelor’s (with Research).
- Employer’s permission and certificate required for working professionals.
Application and Admission Process
- NET-qualified candidates categorized under JRF, NET-qualified, or eligible via NET scores.
- JRF holders appear for direct interview.
- Others evaluated with 70% weightage to NET marks and 30% to interview.
- Interview is mandatory for all categories.
- Final merit list based on combined performance.
Ph.D. Course Work
- Minimum one semester; pass with at least 55% marks.
- Evaluation: 40% internal + 60% end term.
- Up to 2 attempts allowed, else admission is cancelled.
- M.Phil holders may be exempted from course work.
- All scholars must undergo pedagogical/research assistantship training.
