National Law University Tripura (NLUT) PhD Admission 2026 notification has been officially released for admission into the Ph.D. in Law programme for the academic session 2025–26. The university invites applications from eligible candidates for full-time doctoral research in law.

As per the official notification, the admission process will be based on UGC NET qualification, research proposal submission, and presentation.

The National Law University Tripura (NLUT) PhD Admission 2026 allows research in interdisciplinary and allied areas along with law.

• Other allied disciplines

These areas are subject to the availability of supervisors, research facilities, and suitability of the research proposal.

• 5-year LL.B. with minimum 75% marks (70% for reserved categories)
• 3-year LL.B. with 75% marks + 2 years work experience + 4 research papers
• LL.M. with minimum 55% marks (50% for reserved categories)
• Solicitors Examination (Bombay Incorporated Law Society) + LL.B.
• Final year candidates can apply (subject to meeting eligibility later)

The National Law University Tripura (NLUT) PhD Admission 2026 follows a three-step process:

1. UGC NET (Ph.D. category qualified candidates only)
2. Submission & Evaluation of Research Proposal
3. Oral Presentation of Research Proposal

• Word Limit: 1500–2000 words
• Must include:

  • Problem Statement & Background
  • Research Questions & Methodology

The proposal should clearly explain research objectives, originality, and methodology approach.
