These areas are subject to the availability of supervisors, research facilities, and suitability of the research proposal.
- 5-year LL.B. with minimum 75% marks (70% for reserved categories)
- 3-year LL.B. with 75% marks + 2 years work experience + 4 research papers
- LL.M. with minimum 55% marks (50% for reserved categories)
- Solicitors Examination (Bombay Incorporated Law Society) + LL.B.
- Final year candidates can apply (subject to meeting eligibility later)
The National Law University Tripura (NLUT) PhD Admission 2026 follows a three-step process:
- UGC NET (Ph.D. category qualified candidates only)
- Submission & Evaluation of Research Proposal
- Oral Presentation of Research Proposal
- Word Limit: 1500–2000 words
- Must include:
- Proposed Title
- Problem Statement & Background
- Research Questions & Methodology
The proposal should clearly explain research objectives, originality, and methodology approach.
